MES PROVIDES HEAT EXCHANGER TUBE INSPECTION

eddy current testing (ET)

Located in Dallas, MES has a complete metallurgical laboratory staffed with Level II & III experts to supervise all NDT testing projects. MES provides rapid inspection results at an affordable price. As an A2LA ISO 17025 accredited service provider, quality is our focus.

The MES nondestructive testing team has extensive capabilities for testing a wide variety of ferrous and nonferrous metal components by eddy current, with experience in power plants, refineries and other industrial facilities.  To perform eddy current testing on a specimen, a transducer is passed over the object being inspected. The transducer is connected to a portable electronic base unit which displays a real time data feed.

Eddy Current inspection (ET) is a non destructive inspection method which utilizes electromagnetic current to detect surface and near-surface irregularities in ferrous and non-ferrous materials by inducing an eddy current field in the part under test. Defects, such as laminations, cracks, incomplete fusion, inclusions, and voids can typically be detected.
